AP Mid-Year Ceremony

To recognize, celebrate, and provide positive feedback to students about the efforts they have made during the first half of the year. The celebration serves to “move” students from the first half to the second half of the course.

By celebrating their achievements with other students, build a sense of belonging while simultaneously showing students their efforts in class have value.

A possible extension/addition is to use this as an opportunity for students to showcase their work and growth to their classmates, teachers, families, or other stakeholders. This provides an opportunity for students to see value in their hard work and to share early success with people who matter to them.
