Name/Cultural Identity Story


To allow students to talk about about themselves using AP resources/materials/guidance for particular parts of students’ stories.


Students who participate will develop a sense of belonging, finding common ground in shared experiences, cultural stories and AP Content.

Action Steps

  • Develop a protocol for students sharing stories about their cultures or names.
  • Ask students to write parts of their or classmates stories.
  • Use the stories to dive deep into AP content to find connections.
  • Present students with connections between their names/cultures and the AP content.
