Use Crew Model as a Long-Term Advisory

To ensure students feel supported and connected using group check-ins as the basis.

Teachers meet with 10-15 students weekly for check-ins to build community, connection, and to share ideas for academic challenges and success.

• Develop a stable advisory group of 10-15 students from the beginning of the school year.
• Meet on a regular basis to check in on progress, discuss challenges, and ideas for overcoming them.
• Have each student share a goal they are working toward.
