Purpose

To use grassroots community outreach to spread the message of why AP classes are important.

Outcome

“Word-of-mouth” advertising for AP classes from trusted parents in the community whose children are in or have successfully taken AP classes will increase awareness, trust, and understanding about the AP.

Action Steps

Create a parent “PLC” (Professional Learning Community) that is led by parents knowledgeable of AP exams to plan information sessions and do AP outreach. These parent volunteers will work with the school AP coordinator to design, coordinate, and run information sessions for parents about the value of AP courses.
