Have an initial meeting with an identified ambassador to establish expectations and role of the ambassador.
When choosing ambassadors, consider the following:
- Ambassadors should be authentic – not necessarily polished, but able to talk honestly with the students.
- Ambassadors should be relatable to the specific class of students (e.g., they need to have taken that specific course).
Once ambassadors have been chosen, invite them to come in to a class when kids seem like they might want to quit.
Award ambassadors a certificate at the end.
