Student Ambassadors

To support struggling students who may be considering dropping the AP course and encourage them to persist.

Help students who are struggling or are on the verge of dropping the class find connection to their class through students who have struggled and succeeded in the course.

Have an initial meeting with an identified ambassador to establish expectations and role of the ambassador.

When choosing ambassadors, consider the following:

• Ambassadors should be authentic – not necessarily polished, but able to talk honestly with the students.
• Ambassadors should be relatable to the specific class of students (e.g., they need to have taken that specific course).

Once ambassadors have been chosen, invite them to come in to a class when kids seem like they might want to quit.

Award ambassadors a certificate at the end.
