Focus on target students and provide them with specific support to help them reach goals

It can be helpful for teachers to work with target students to set goals for academic performance, participation, and/or class persistence. Teachers can work with different target students as appropriate- rotating through each student who needs extra support or choosing to focus in on a smaller group of students for a longer period of time.
