About Rob Jentsch
As Senior Consultant, Rob provides as-needed expertise on different projects both internally and externally. From 2021 to 2023, he served as the organization’s founding Chief Program & Strategy Officer, overseeing our national portfolio of school, district, and state partnerships. From 2016 through 2021, Rob played an evolving leadership role on our school improvement team where he supported the design and delivery of services to partner schools, districts, and state education agencies across the country. During this time, the size of the team, the number of partnerships, and the overall investment from partners in Mass Insight school improvement services all tripled. Along the way, Rob headed efforts to glean and publish learnings from the field, including in our roadmap to school improvement planning, our instructional coaching framework, and in creating resources for state education agencies to use in collaboratively monitoring the progress of CSI schools. Prior to joining Mass Insight, Rob held roles with TNTP, KIPP, and Teach For America. He started his career in rural North Carolina as a high school teacher where he founded an AP program and served as department chair and baseball coach. Rob holds an Executive MBA from the University of Maryland and a BA from Macalester College.
