Marie Kunthara

Marie Kunthara is an Engagement Director on Mass Insight’s School Improvement Team. Marie currently supports partners in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to increase equitable outcomes for all students. She focuses on implementing individualized school improvement plans through needs assessments, planning, and continuous improvement strategies. She leads ongoing project management with her portfolio of a dozen-plus schools across multiple in-district networks. Prior to Mass Insight, Marie served in a variety of leadership roles as Teacher-Leader, Assistant Principal, and Principal in both urban and rural K-12 Texas schools. Across her 15+ years in education, she has led initiatives around equity, instructional coaching, professional development, assessment, culture-building, and operations management. Marie’s passion for education began as a third grade inclusion teacher in Miami, Florida. Marie holds an M.B.A. from Rice University and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in History.
