About Anil Khurana

Dr. Anil Khurana is Executive Director of the Baratta Center for Global Business, a think tank focused on the future of globalization and global business, and a Research Professor of Strategy at Georgetown University. He is also a retired PwC Partner, who, till recently, was the Global Managing Partner for the $7.5B, 25,000-strong global industrials BU (incl. manufacturing, aerospace, auto, engineering, digital and sustainability). Anil has had a successful 30+ year global career working with senior executives, private equity investors, and government leaders across the world and across industries. His expertise is in strategy, investing, operations, go-to-market, innovation, M&A, digitization and sustainability. He has a track record delivering outcomes in industry, government, academics, private equity, venture capital, start-ups, and consulting.

 

He is currently a board director of O3Smart (a manufacturing software company HQ in Zurich), board member with the Obeikan Investment Group (large industrial conglomerate HQ in Riyadh), board member of Iris DX (a Michigan based biotech company), Chairman of Amal Alliance based in NYC (global non-profit focused on education for disenfranchised children incl. refugee children), Board Member of Mass Insight (a US-based education non-profit), and Chairman of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) Advanced Manufacturing Special Interest Group. In the past, he has been a Board Member of TiE, and several private companies, incl. PRTM, which was acquired by PwC in 2011.

 

Anil received his MS, MBA, and Ph.D. (Business) from the University of Michigan, and BS (Engineering) and MA/BA (Economics) from India. He is BoD certified, completed INSEAD’s Board Directors’ program, and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD, US). He has written and been cited in leading journals such as Sloan (SMR) and strategy+business, and has received multiple awards, incl. “2021 Consultant of the Year”.

 

Anil and his wife live in Boston and Dubai, and have two accomplished daughters. Anil enjoys art, sports, travel, writing, mentoring, and championing and supporting important causes – especially sustainability, education, children’s causes, homelessness, poverty, and equity.
