Katie Friend

Katie Friend is an Engagement Manager on Mass Insight’s School Improvement Team. Katie primarily supports our partners in Evansville, Indiana. Katie supports districts in developing equitable central office practices, school management, chief executive coaching, district-level and school-level needs assessment diagnostics, and strategic planning processes. She also helps lead Mass Insight’s diversity, equity, and inclusion work on Mi’s DEI Team and is part of Mi’s Leadership Team. Prior to joining Mass Insight, Katie worked with Teach for America Mississippi Delta for twelve years, where she managed multiple teams specializing in teacher recruitment, certification, instructional curriculum design, executive leadership and coaching, diversity and inclusion training, and new teacher development models. She got her start in education teaching kindergarten in rural Arkansas. She graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in Art and Art History.
