Brandi Hester Harrell serves as a consultant for Mass Insight’s School Improvement Team. As an educator of 15 years, she has been committed to community change in and outside the classroom. Using a transformative approach to ensure teachers and students have the necessary tools and feedback to ensure personal change. Throughout her career, she has been able to work throughout the spectrum of K-12 and higher education creating pathways to support students of color. Supporting over 2,000 students over the course of her career, those seeds have become the driving force for her active community change.
She holds a BS in Inclusive Education, M. Ed in Curriculum and Educational Policy, and recently graduated with a second master’s in Educational Leadership from University of Roehampton in London. As a life-learner, she is currently on a full scholarship pressuring a PHD in education. Her revolutionary approach to change continues through policy advocacy allowing countless legislators in Colorado and Pennsylvania to reform the recruitment and retention of teachers of color. Her community describes her as a woman of many gifts: educator, policy junkie, author, advocate, and social change disruptor. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her partner and children. Travel has always been her truest therapy, traveling to over 30 countries.
