Supporting Student Identities

Purpose

To support students’ identities and cultures through belonging approaches.

Outcome

Students will hear positive stories about AP classes from representative role models (current and past AP students, teachers, coordinators, and guidance counselors from similar backgrounds as themselves.)

Action Steps

Ensure that photos of former AP students represent the cultures and backgrounds of the potential students and their communities.

Have former and current AP students from various backgrounds and lived experiences involved in recruitment efforts.
